Introducing The Great Indian Referral Contest, a nationwide call to see who among you can bring the most new members into our growing community of food lovers.
The rules are simple: share, invite, repeat. All it takes is a few clicks and you could win an exclusive virtual cook-along with ChefTZac and hampers bursting with goodies from The Locavore’s Partner Producers!
Since our very first meetup in April 2025, the Local Food Club has blossomed into one of India’s most joyful food movements—4,600 members spread over a 100 cities and towns across the country—from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad to Bhubaneswar. Every first Sunday of the month, people across India gather around tables, big and small, to share home-cooked food, swap stories, and celebrate the flavours that make their localities unique.
And now, as we dream of expanding this space even further, to cities and towns we haven’t reached yet, we’re inviting you, our vibrant community, to help make it happen!
So this November, join us on The Great Indian Referral Contest and help us bring more people to the table! Invite your friends, family, and fellow food lovers to join a LFC in their city, and with every new sign-up through your referral, you’ll climb closer to some truly delicious rewards!
1. Share the LFC sign-up link with your friends, colleagues and family between November 10 to 25. When you share the sign-up link, you can send a message like this to give your friends some context:
Hey! Have you heard about the Local Food Club? It’s an amazing community started by The Locavore where people across India come together to share food, stories, and connections– both online and offline.
There are in-person potlucks happening monthly in different cities; local WhatsApp groups where people swap recipes and discoveries; and special events like food walks, workshops, and pop-up dinners all centred on India’s local food traditions. It’s free, super welcoming, and honestly, one of the nicest ways I’ve met people lately who love food (without it being pretentious 😅).
You should totally sign up! They’re expanding to more cities soon. 💚

2. Ask them to enter your full name in Question 10 of the form (so we can track your referrals).
3. Watch your name climb on the leaderboard. We’ll be sharing updates on Instagram and in our Whatsapp groups throughout the contest, and maybe you’ll land yourself some delicious rewards!
