Ala sambhad! At LFC Ahmedabad, food is never just food. It’s where connections simmer, Sundays are for jalebi-fafda, and chai is served at crowded pols. Bring a dish, pour the chaas, and feast on more than just food.

Last evening was one of the most refreshing evenings in a long time.
My first locavore meet will be a core memory. I was introduced to so many nuances about food and ingredients, and then my palate was treated to the best homemade versions of so many street foods of India. Thank you to the hosts and each one of you for making the evening special. I look forward to more meetups.

What We Loved
Jhalmuri, deconstructed into a fun DIY setup, with puffed rice, chopped tomatoes, spices, and chana laid out to mix and match. A hands-on way to play with this classic Kolkata street snack, one scoop at a time.
Handvo is a Gujarati savoury cake made from fermented lentils and rice. Crisp on the outside and soft within, it is a local favourite and is often served as a breakfast, snack, or light meal.
A fun street food–themed activity played where participants had to blind-guess their allotted food item using only their teammate’s hints. Laughter, chaos, and a lot of creative clue-giving followed.
