WHERE WE MET

Hibiscus Café in Injambakkam, Chennai, is a breezy, boho-style restaurant tucked above an organic store. Offering lake views and a menu of global comfort food, it is a space that blends sustainability with slow living.
What Members Said

This was my first time at an LFC, but everything felt so nice. Kudos to the host and the lead.

Badrinath

Thank you to the team for arranging this beautiful evening! I loved the food and it was lovely to get to know all the LFC members.

What We Loved

Mirapakaya Bhajji, brought by Krithika, is a classic Andhra snack made with green chillies stuffed with a tangy, spiced mix of tamarind, onions, and masalas, then dipped in gram flour batter and deep-fried until crisp.

The doodle by Badrinath, who drew themselves as a Kozhukattai — a sweet South Indian dumpling made with rice flour and filled with coconut and jaggery. Soft, round, and full of character, just like the drawing.

The Dal Payasam brought by Vijey—slow-cooked moong dal usually flavoured with ghee, cardamom, and jaggery until it turns silky and fragrant. A beloved festive sweet from Tamil Nadu.
