What We Loved

This family heirloom paan ka dabba that member Swati brought along, passed down through generations and believed to be over 100 years old. 

Aaloo Halwa is a Bengali sweet made by slow-cooking grated potatoes with ghee, sugar, and cardamom until soft and glossy. It turns a humble savoury staple into a rich, festive-style dessert.

Panta Bhat Pitha, a rustic Assamese–Bengali preparation made from fermented leftover rice, shaped into soft pithas and pan-cooked. Lightly sour, gently crisp outside and soft within, it’s a clever way to transform overnight rice into a nourishing snack.
