What Members Said

It was such a pleasure meeting up with everyone that was able to make it. Thank you for braving the rains for the sake of food! We’ve come up with a great list of ways to engage with local food producers for this quarter! Let’s work to implement a few tangible projects that we can rally behind.

Adithya

Thank you for hosting, Adithya! We should definitely band together and make things happen.

What We Loved

Jhalmuri, deconstructed into a fun DIY setup, with puffed rice, chopped tomatoes, spices, and chana laid out to mix and match. A hands-on way to play with this classic Kolkata street snack, one scoop at a time.

Methi Thepla is a Gujarati flatbread made with whole wheat flour, besan, fresh fenugreek leaves and spices, rolled thin and cooked on a tawa to make a travel-friendly snack.

Keerai Masiyal is a Tamil-style preparation of mashed greens simmered with dal, garlic, and green chillies, then tempered with mustard seeds. It can be made with almost any leafy green— amaranth, beet greens, radish greens, or spinach—making it endlessly adaptable.
