September ’25 Qaiserbagh

In the city of tehzeeb, LFC Lucknow brings more than just kebabs and kormas—we gather to share dum, stories, and second helpings. Bring your best dish, or just your andaaz. There’s always a seat at the daawat.

What Members Said

Thank you to all of you. It was an evening well spent, and I cherished the awesome food we all had. Cheers to many more such evenings to come.

Dhruv

Three of us got dishes made with karonda. Cake, stir-fried karonda, and pickled mirch and karonda. We also had amazing moringa parathas, heart-shaped, sprouted moong cutlets, and bathua parathas. And such interesting local ingredients like kokum, moringa leaves, and panchphoran masala.

The Karonda crumble cake brought by host Manjari sounds super interesting!

What We Loved

A crowd favourite Karonda Stir-Fry brought along with a handwritten recipe card, sharing how to sauté the tangy desi ingredient with spices, and a touch of sugar.

A Karonda Crumble Cake, an experimental bake by home baker and Host Manjari, using the tart, wild berry folded into a soft crumb and topped with a buttery crust.

Moringa Paratha, a desi ingredient twist on the classic leafy paratha, swapping the usual methi or spinach for nutrient-rich moringa leaves!

MEET YOUR HOST

What does local mean to you?

Something that can be found within a radius of five kilometres of my home. Also, something that my friend Nagma can grow in her garden. She has a huge garden, and she has so many things growing there.

Tasting Thai Curry at a Delhi restaurant for the first time. I was in tears. I had never had anything that was sweet, yet not sweet. Floral, yet not floral. Spicy, yet not spicy. I knew I had found the love of my life.

May I say Karonda cake that I baked for the LFC meetup? Sour Karonda compote with buttery streusel really worked!

Ghee, sugar, and rice!

By leaps and bounds! People here just love eating. We have a new restaurant or cafe opening every week, and most of them are run by the young and restless. So I do see a lot of potential.
