How Can Venues Benefit from Hosting a Local Food Club meetup?

We know it’s no small ask to offer your space pro bono on the first Sunday of each month. Your efforts on the day of the meetup—such as helping community volunteers set up, providing them with any supplies you may be able to offer, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all our Local Food Club (LFC) members—go a long way. This is what allows our meetups to run, month-on-month, almost without  hiccups, and, more importantly, lets us maintain long-term relationships with you. 

To honour that generosity, we’ve built a tiered system of promotions and long-term visibility for all our venue partners, whether you’re hosting for the first time or the fifteenth.

Each tier comes with growing benefits, from social media collaboration and event promotion to being featured in our official venue directory and receiving an official Locavore Venue Badge.

Tier 1 includes any first-time venue, or a repeat venue we are working with for the second time. Here are the benefits you can avail within this tier:

  • Provision of a media kit for our venue partners to create their own social media content for promoting the meetup either before or after the gathering, complete with our logos and a sample caption.
  • Access to folders containing photos and videos from the last meetup we collaborated on together.
  • Access to collaborating with the Local Food Club Instagram page (2k+) on any pre- and post-meetup content. 
  • Inclusion in our pre-meetup promotions which go out to our WhatsApp community of 4,000 members, and one pre-meetup RSVP post which goes out from The Locavore’s Instagram account (30.5k followers).
  • For second-time venues, we will also share your food-adjacent events on your city’s specific LFC WhatsApp group.

Tier 2 includes any venues we are working with for the third, fourth or fifth times, and here’s  what all benefits await you:

  • All of Tier 1 benefits.
  • Sharing any food-ajacent events that highlight any topics to do with local and or seasonal food will be shared on city-specific LFC WhatsApp groups. Venues can also tag the Local Food Club Instagram page in their stories while promoting the event for a re-share. This will be executed at the discretion of Team Locavore. To share an event on your city’s LFC WhatsApp groups, please reach out to your venue point of contact with all relevant details. 
  • Addition to a country-wide directory of LFC Partner Venues on the LFC website. This directory will include all venues that fall within this tier along with your name, address, and a photograph of your space. This directory page will be occasionally shared within our LFC city groups as a resource of venues for our members to check out during their travels in different cities across the country. 

Tier 3 includes venues we have worked with for the sixth time, and beyond. Here are the benefits they’ll receive:

  • All of Tier 2 benefits.
  • A qualitative post on venue partners outside of the meetup. Team Locavore’s content team will work on a detailed carousel post on Instagram that will profile your space, your founder, team, what you can offer to your local community, and any LFC member reviews of the space. This post will be executed as a collaborative post between The Locavore’s Instagram page (30.5k+ followers) and the Local Food Club’s Instagram page (2k+ followers).
  • Being awarded a Locavore Venue Badge. For long-term venues, we will mail a bespoke poster to you, declaring you as a long-term LFC venue partner, and a part of The Locavore’s ‘Doing Good through Food’ movement across India.
