OFFER YOUR VENUE

Local Food Club gatherings bring people together once a month to engage thoughtfully with local food systems—through conversation, shared learning, and community connection. These meetups are free and open to all, designed to be accessible, welcoming, and grounded in care rather than commerce.

To make this possible, we partner with venues that are willing to open their spaces pro bono, in support of a shared purpose: Doing good through food, together.

Have a space that brings people together? Open your doors to community, conversation, and shared meals—one potluck at a time.

WHY VENUE PARTNERS MATTER

Keeping LFC gatherings free and open means removing barriers to participation. Venue partners play a crucial role in making this possible by helping create safe, comfortable spaces where people from different walks of life can meet, listen, and learn together.

Hosting an LFC meetup doesn’t require programming or catering—just a willingness to support community, conversation, and connection.

WHO CAN BE A VENUE PARTNER

We’re looking for warm, welcoming indoor spaces that can host 25–35 people once a month.

This could include:

  • cafés or restaurants
  • bookstores or libraries
  • studios, galleries, or community halls

For everyone’s comfort and safety, we’re currently not considering private homes or open-air public spaces like parks.

BASIC VENUE REQUIREMENTS

  • Free use of space for the meetup
  • Tables, chairs, and access to restrooms
  • Enough room for people to sit, stand, and move comfortably
  • Accessibility features, including elevators, and wheelchair ramps, are a big plus

Optional but welcome:

  • access to a pantry or kitchen area
  • projector, screen, speaker, or microphone

WHAT'S IN IT FOR THE VENUE

We’ve put together a dedicated page outlining how venues benefit from partnering with the Local Food Club—including visibility, community goodwill, and long-term relationships with an engaged, values-aligned audience.
