Priyal is excited by everything and anything food. Especially how food is a vessel that can hold diverse histories and stories, cultures and knowledge, struggles and successes. Her background is in Anthropology, EVS, and Media Studies, and she has participated in several collective, local food movements: from working in community gardens and social kitchens to dumpster diving. At Locavore, she is excited to further explore community-driven dialogue and action surrounding our local food systems. She finds joy in cooking with others (her cooking alone is hazardous), sharing food and stories that she will most definitely turn into a comic!
