Swati Jena | Culinary Research Intern
Swati is a food studies scholar, with experience as a chef in a community restaurant based in London. They have hosted several supper clubs that explored food-based storytelling, highlighting regional recipes of different communities in India. Swati thinks of food as a gateway to relationship building, both individual and communal. They firmly believe that food is political and every ingredient carries the weight of its makers’ identities and memories. They want to grow to understand the world better one recipe, one ingredient, and one meal at a time.
