The butter is made from cashews grown in Shrivardhan, Maharashtra, and freshly de-shelled daily about 10 kilometres away from the farm.

Have it as you would any nut butter, spread on toast, stirred into porridge, or paired with fruit for a simple snack. Its smooth texture and mild sweetness also make it a good base for richer dishes, whether blended into smoothies, added to sauces, or used in Mughlai-style gravies when you want a more rounded flavour.

Maaticha is a farm owned by the Kazi family that grows local, seasonal produce in the Konkan region. ‘Maaticha’—which translates into ‘of the soil’ in Marathi—incorporates traditional farming methods that have been passed down over generations to cultivate mango, coconut, chikoo, black pepper, turmeric, and other native crops.
