The primary objective of the Millet Resource Lab is to gather information about producers, consumer brands, experts, and restaurants operating within the millet landscape, culminating in a digital and open-access resource bank. The resource bank will act as a comprehensive online repository of millet centric farmer groups, consumer brands, businesses, and experts from various regions across India. This repository will be open-source and easily accessible to both consumers and companies seeking to enhance their value chain. Members of the resource bank will be involved in not only collecting stakeholders to feature in the bank, but also ensure, through meticulous checks and balances, the quality of work conducted by the stakeholders.

About the Role
As a Research Contributor you will work with the Millet Revival Project team to identify and gather information about producers, consumer brands, restaurants, non-profits, and experts involved in the millet industry. You will have to conduct online research & in-depth interviews to source accurate and up-to-date leads related to millet production, distribution, and consumption. Your strong research and analytical skills will help you to utilize various online platforms and resources to collect data and contact details of relevant stakeholders. Your effective communication skills will help you verify your data by conducting in-depth interviews with these stakeholders.
Your passion for sustainability, climate-smart solutions, and the role of millets in addressing climate challenges coupled with your interest in research, policy analysis, and contributing to positive change in the food and agriculture sector will be instrumental in helping us achieve the goals of MRP.
Your data management skills will help you organize and categorize collected leads into a comprehensive format, feeding into the Millet Resource Bank, ensuring its easy accessibility and usability. You will assist the Resource Lab Lead in identifying potential collaboration opportunities including partnerships between producers and restaurants, breweries, etc., and contribute to the development of editorial and digital media content. Your ability to work independently and collaborate remotely with the project team, while also being an excellent team player will be crucial to the success of the Millet Revival Project.
Additionally, in the case of a Millet Revival Project event in your city, you will be ideally required to plan, attend, and execute the same.
Key skills and experience required for the role
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
1. Proficiency in research methodologies and analytical skills.
2. Effective communication skills to conduct in-depth interviews & reach out to stakeholders.
3. Working collaboratively in a group and actively networking with others.
It is desirable, but not essential candidates have:

3. Experience in Implementing design changes and iterating based on user feedback.
