Sweet Banana Chips
By Malabar Se
ORIGIN: Palakkad, Kerala
₹300 | 200 G
Made from ripe Nendran bananas, these sweet banana chips have a slight savoury touch.
You’ll be buying directly from the producer. The Locavore does not handle orders, payments, delivery, or customer support.
The mild sweetness and firm texture of this variety of banana allows it to be fried even when ripe.
Have them on their own as a snack, or alongside tea when you want something lightly sweet. They also work well as part of a snack spread, or added to a simple dessert like ice cream or yoghurt for texture and contrast. Because they’re not overly heavy, they’re easy to keep reaching for through the day. You can also crush them and use them as a topping for vanilla ice cream or in a green salad for some textural contrast.
Malabar Se showcases Kerala-inspired small-batch snacks made with locally sourced, chemical-free produce using age-old techniques. They use locally sourced coconut oil for frying, and cook their products on a traditional wood-fired chulha that burns coconut husks and sawdust from a local wood mill.
