People & Operations Lead
About the Role
At The Locavore, we take the work culture of our organisation and the well-being of its members very, very seriously. As we interact with each other and with external stakeholders, we need your help in upholding the core values of our organisation. This will involve facilitating employee engagement, such as team-building activities, and programs for recognition and appreciation. You will also help us evolve structures for employee onboarding, leaves, and performance, in harmony with pre-existing norms and legal frameworks. We are committed to creating a safe and empathetic environment that supports our employees and their potential!
As we continue to grow our team, you will be in charge of bringing members from different departments together, while providing support, guidance, and a space to address grievances. Given your role as a key touchpoint within the organisation, your insights into the operations of our events, projects, and partnerships will be crucial to our growth and success.
We have spent the past year consciously laying the building blocks for an employee journey that is compassionate and impact-driven; with your input, we can begin to streamline our processes and workflows. Given our work with a variety of stakeholders—including TL producer partners, project volunteers, and collaborator organisations—you will be imperative in nurturing seamless and empathetic relationships with them.
Overall, as the People and Operations Lead, you will help strengthen our relationships, both inside and outside our organisation, as we navigate a complex and rewarding food system.
