About the Role
As the Millet Revival Projects Lead, you will oversee the planning and executing of the second phase of the Millet Revival Project, including initial ideation, developing comprehensive timelines for growth, and resource allocation. You will liaison with multiple internal and external stakeholders, leads and volunteers of each of the four labs, the core Locavore team, and external experts.
For the Cooking lab, you will coordinate with the lead of the lab to streamline recipe testing and publication. With the Editorial Lab, you will be required to participate in creative ideation, and strategizing for and scheduling articles. You will also be responsible for guiding research, strategizing interventions, and collating the efforts of the Climate Policy Lab. With the research contributors, you will streamline and structure the development of the Millet Resource Bank and its publication on the project’s website. Your skills in problem solving, conducting research, and documentation will allow us to coordinate between each lab, mitigate challenges faced by members, and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables. Along with this, you will support the representation of the project’s activities on the project website and The Locavore’s digital media platforms.
You will also be required to plan and execute events under the project, in coordination with the rest of the The Locavore team. These events may span multiple cities and include both online and offline events. Your strategy, leadership, and operational skills will be crucial to the success of the second phase of the Millet Revival Project.
