This dish gets its name from the historic split in the Congress Party in 1969 at Lalbagh, Bangalore, which inspired a local condiment shop to name this peanut snack ‘Congress kadlekai’.

|Split, roasted, and salted peanuts from the local bakery||200 grams|
|Red chill powder||1 teaspoon|
Finely chop coriander leaves and onions.
Mix them in a bowl with peanuts.
Add chilli powder and squeeze in the juice of 2 limes.
Mix all the ingredients.
Serve as a snack.
