Crush the pods lightly and add them to kheer, chai, or desserts. You can also use them whole in rice dishes like biryani or pulao. Since it has a strong flavour, use it with restraint at first, and then build up depending on how pronounced you want the flavour.
Farmers in the Western Ghats handpick each cardamom pod to ensure high quality.
Last Forest showcases agro-ecological produce and crafts from Tamil Nadu’s indigenous communities: Kurumbas, Irulas, Todas, and Badagas. They work directly with a collective of tribal producers and farmers to traditionally forage food in a way that does not harm the ecosystem.
