Lemon Marmalade

By Kuninda

ORIGIN: Chachar, Uttarakhand

300  |  200 ML

A pulpy, aromatic preserve with a sweet-and-sour twist on the usual orange marmalade.

You’ll be buying directly from the producer. The Locavore does not handle orders, payments, delivery, or customer support.

This marmalade uses the entire fruit, featuring the rinds, pith, and pulp of juicy pant lemons from trees that were planted on the family farm three generations ago.

Slather it on a piece of crisp toast, hot parathas, or even a humble chapati, rolled up with some butter as a quick snack. You can also add it to simple desserts when you want a balance of bitter and sweet. It also works well alongside cheese or as a light glaze for baked dishes, where the citrus notes come through more clearly.

Kuninda was set up with the intention of reimagining mustard and exploring inventive ways to use fruits grown on their family’s seven-decades-old farm located in the Terai belt, an eco-region at the base of the Himalayas.
