Karvanda, or Karonda are fruits of the Karvanda tree. These dried have a tart flavour, and are rich sources of vitamins and iron.
You’ll be buying directly from the producer. The Locavore does not handle orders, payments, delivery, or customer support.
This fruit is only available wild and has a short season in mid-summer.
Have them on their own as a snack, or add them to granola, muesli, or salads for a tart contrast. It can also be used in small amounts as a souring agent in chutneys or simple preparations where you’d otherwise use something like kokum or tamarind.
