Badri Ghee
By Vnya
ORIGIN: Garhwal, Uttarakhand
₹1600 | 500 ML
A traditionally hand churned ghee with a creamy texture and a mild tang.
You’ll be buying directly from the producer. The Locavore does not handle orders, payments, delivery, or customer support.
This ghee comes from the Badri cow—native to the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand—that feeds on native herbs and shrubs in the Himalayas. The milk is then churned using the traditional Bilona method.
Use it as you would any ghee, for cooking, tempering, or finishing everyday dishes like dal, rice, or vegetables. It also works well spread over rotis or added to warm khichdi, or used in simple sweets and baking when you want a richer, more rounded flavour.
Vnya is a family-run operation bringing organic, seasonal produce from 300 smallholder farmers across Uttarakhand. By maintaining close ties with farmers and personally visiting their farms, they bring high-quality ingredients that are naturally grown and free from any chemical inputs.
