As our Marketing Lead, you will develop and execute marketing strategies that amplify our mission, engage diverse audiences, and build strong narratives around our work.
You will work alongside the Digital Media Lead and the Community & Events Lead, each focusing on their respective areas, while ensuring cohesion across all marketing efforts. Your primary responsibility will be brand positioning, audience engagement strategies, partnerships, and overseeing key marketing campaigns, ensuring The Locavore’s work reaches the right people in the right way.
This role requires a strong storyteller, a strategic thinker, and a marketing specialist who can develop creative campaigns, analyze audience insights, and drive engagement through both digital and offline channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategies and Digital Presence:
• Develop and execute marketing strategies that enhance The Locavore’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all initiatives.
• Lead brand positioning efforts, ensuring our values, projects, and partnerships are communicated effectively.
• Create and oversee high-impact marketing campaigns for ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with The Locavore’s broader goals.
• Monitor market trends and audience insights to refine marketing approaches and optimize outreach.
• Collaborate with the Partnerships team to develop brand collaborations that align with The Locavore’s mission.
Campaign Development & Execution
• Conceptualize and implement integrated marketing campaigns, collaborating with the Digital Media Lead for execution across online platforms.
• Work closely with the Community & Events Lead to align outreach strategies and drive engagement for events and offline initiatives.
• Develop and oversee brand partnerships and influencer collaborations, ensuring strategic alignment with The Locavore’s impact goals.
• Ensure marketing initiatives support project-based storytelling, effectively communicating The Locavore’s work to different audiences.
Audience Engagement & Stakeholder Communication:
• Develop strategies to grow and nurture The Locavore’s audience, ensuring our messaging reaches a wide but relevant demographic.
• Oversee public relations efforts, including media outreach, press releases, and brand storytelling.
• Support collaborations with organizations, industry experts, and content creators to expand The Locavore’s reach and engagement.
• Ensure all marketing efforts are aligned with The Locavore’s ethical and sustainable values, maintaining credibility and impact.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Internal Coordination:
• Work closely with the Digital Media Lead to align on content distribution strategies and optimize digital campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Community & Events Lead to ensure marketing efforts effectively support event visibility and outreach.
• Align marketing initiatives with Editorial, Partnerships, and Projects teams to create unified messaging across all activities.
• Provide brand oversight for all marketing materials, ensuring high-quality, engaging content.
Performance Analysis & Optimization:
• Track and analyze key marketing metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize campaigns and audience engagement.
• Utilize insights from Google Analytics, social media metrics, and email marketing data to refine strategies.
• Experiment with new tools and channels to continuously improve The Locavore’s marketing effectiveness.

• Experience in marketing, branding, or public relations, preferably in the food, sustainability, or social impact sectors.
• Collaborative approach, with experience working cross-functionally with content, digital, and event teams.
• Comfortable with data-driven decision-making, using analytics to inform marketing strategies.
• Proficiency in content marketing, brand strategy, and audience growth tactics.
• Highly adaptable, able to navigate a dynamic work environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
