As a Digital Media Associate, you are at the heart of this mission, responsible for managing and uploading content to our websites and maintaining an active and engaging presence across various social media platforms. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our audience enjoys streamlined access to diverse content, helping to shape The Locavore’s digital voice and enhance our online community engagement.
Role & Responsibilities:
Content Management: Upload and manage articles, stories, interviews, and event highlights on The Locavore’s website and the MRP website, ensuring content is accessible and engaging. Your role will facilitate the dissemination of knowledge, particularly focusing on millet-related content in partnership with the Rainmatter Foundation.
WordPress CMS & SEO: Leverage your expertise in WordPress CMS for effective content management, ensuring a seamless user experience. Apply SEO best practices to optimise content for search engines, enhancing visibility and audience engagement.
Digital Media Campaigns Collaboration: Work in tandem with the marketing and editorial teams to support digital media campaigns. Your role will involve preparing and scheduling content for social media initiatives, aligning with The Locavore’s mission and brand voice.
Social Media Content Management: Actively manage and schedule content across various social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Grove. Your creative input will keep our social media feeds vibrant, informative, and aligned with The Locavore’s core values and initiatives.
Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the editorial, marketing, and design teams to coordinate content uploads and campaign launches. Your work will ensure that digital strategies are cohesive and aligned across all platforms.
Candidate Attributes:
• Passionate about food sustainability, with a keen interest in promoting stories and initiatives from the Indian food system.
• Skilled in using WordPress CMS, with a solid understanding of SEO strategies to maximise digital content impact.
• Detail-oriented and organised, capable of managing multiple digital platforms and maintaining content calendars.
• A strong communicator, comfortable working with cross-functional teams to achieve The Locavore’s digital content goals.
• Creative, with the ability to contribute to social media content creation that engages and grows our community.
